Leaders and bullies these are two things we make a choice to be at home, at work and in politics. No matter what side of the political aisle you may be, leadership is demonstrated by our actions, our reactions and in the way we communicate under stress. Is it not better to seek the truth with being curious, asking questions and wanting to be accountable?
It is not what you say but how you say it that can either burn bridges or build understanding. Effective leadership is not in the way we humiliate our opponent but the respect we show those who may not agree with our views. Confrontation only escalates the conflict and feeds into the drama of further misunderstandings.
Ask yourself what do I want to be, a bully or a leader and take the actions that reflect that choice.
