Think about it. ‘I had such a stressful week and yet it was still fun’. Have you ever said that? I have and meant every word. It wasn’t always like that during the years of struggling with workplace sexual harassment, bullying and other violence.
Looking back from today, I learned to create ‘tools for happiness’, little things I did that made life fun, good, feelings of happiness and strength so that I could face another day of work, another week, another month, another year, and another decade.
Hanging out with positive people, not the when and then folks or moan groan society.
People do what they need to do to survive. Having your own self care toolkit can help you survive and thrive for yourself and family. If we ignore dealing with stress it can eat away at our happiness.
Stress can ripple into all areas of life, family, friends, work performance and relationships. No one wins. So the idea is to be proactive in knowing what is your stress and what are you going to do for you?
