Minister Ralph Goodale along with RCMP Commissioner Luckie announced the creation of a civilian agency to investigate complaints of harassment and bullying in the RCMP.
It was a long time needed and for an organization that has a culture of ‘protect our own’ deeply imbedded into the mindset, this is a huge step forward.
I was interviewed and shared my reaction to this historic announcement based on my 20 years of experience with harassment and bullying. A positive step forward in regaining the trust of Canadians and those who serve and protect.
