Empowering the Power of your voice is learned and also can be relearned.
Courage in the face of change.
If you remember anything it’s important to know you are valued and deserve to have a voice, to find your voice at any age. It’s never too late.
Be curious. Be curious about yourself and what might be holding you back from life and being happy.
If you think about it we are born innocent, like a perfectly clean canvas, where an artist is about to create a masterpiece. Soon the world and our environment changes us with spatters of sadness, resentment and sometimes we are not allowed to learn how and why to find your voice, self-discovery, be happy.
Everyone deserves to feel they have the right to make changes in their life and to find happiness, to say no and to say yes, to believe that they count at home and in the workplace,
To be their rescuer, to create their happiness and most importantly to believe in the dreams or to create new dreams
“You are never too old to set another goal or to set a new dream”. CS Lewis
Dreaming big is great and getting started begins with ‘tools’. One important tool is having a positive attitude which gives us resilience in life, knowing that we can handle all of life‘s challenges, the good, the bad, and the real crappy. Trying new things and if we succeed or fail at least you have tried. We can learn positivity.
Are you a visual person? I am. I like to write positive notes and stick them around the house and see them every day. For example, I have a sticky note on my mirror in the bedroom that says, “wake up each day with happy positive thoughts.”
Try it with your inspirational quote.
The more you look at positive messages, inspirational and happy quotes the more they can slowly filter into your soul.
If you can achieve that faith in yourself handling life, then life is not scary you will not be as fearful of change, and the unknowns.
What happens when we experience loss of death or illness? Getting older? Being alone? How can someone find a voice in sadness?
Yes, you can! Believe it, yes you can!
The journey through pain and suffering has so much to do with our attitude. It’s called courage.
We have it in us, each of us has courage. Courage is what we need every day using that negative thinking/thoughts.
Several years ago I read a book by Dr. Susan Jeffers, “Feel the Fear and do it anyway”.
Dr. Jeffers refers to moving from pain to power in our attitude and also in our language that we tell ourselves. You know the negative ‘chatterbox’ inner critic, that keeps shaming, belittling and holding us back in fear. Dr. Jeffers suggests moving from negative to positive self-talk.
It takes practice until it becomes a habit. A positive habit is a new lifestyle.
If there is one thing that we have complete control over, it is our attitude. This gives hope because we can learn to relearn and change our attitude. The key is awareness to believe in the courage and empowering the power of your voice.
