“As an expert having lived, worked
and survived 20 years of sexual harassment
and bullying, I find the
recent events in Hollywood no surprise.
Thankfully, the world is paying
attention and the victims may find
their voice to recovery and empowerment.
As a workplace consultant, I have
seen the continued trauma of victims
of yesterday and today. Society has to
speak up and make it uncomfortable
for those who would abuse women
and bully co-workers.
My message to victims is to speak up and take back your power. My message to those who knew of the abuse and remained silent, please speak up. The victims need to know that they did nothing wrong. We make decisions based on what we can do at the time, to survive. Thankfully victims are speaking up. No workplace is immune and no one is immune from sexual harassment and other workplace violence.”
