“The mind is everything. What you think you become.”
Unknown from the book 365 Days of Wonder
For those dealing with depression, anxiety disorders and PTSD our minds can destroy us, so we have to be mindful of what and how we think.
Recognize our pain.
Be Aware of the triggers and what to do when feelings of hopelessness seem overwhelming. For many the #Metoo triggered their trauma of sexual assault. And also empowered them to speak up.
Seek out help from positive supports. Avoid the negative people.
Have a safety plan. A list of several supportive people, Dr’s, family and friends to call when you are feeling helpless and hopeless. This is your life line.
Believe that your life is worth living. PTSD, anxiety disorders and depression rob us from our lives. Remember you deserve to be happy, feel safe and find love.
Create your own self care tool kit.
Make a list of what you like, what makes you feel good and happy about being you. Funny movies, hobbies, nature, fitness. Your tool kit is unique to you.
Never give up on you!
Remember you are loved and valued by others, family and friends.
Focus on the beauty of a moment, celebrate the little successes in life. For me just being able to hit a golf ball was a success.
Never give up on you! You are not alone. Never give up on you.
