According to the new military commander General Jonathan Vance, echos that sexual harassment, the old ‘boys will be boys’ mentality will not be tolerated in the Canadian Military. Although this tough approach is to be celebrated changing attitudes and behaviours takes time. How do we measure the success? Perhaps the proof will be in the ability to address complaints in a timely fashion, formal and informal reprimands for perpetrators, protect victims from fear of retribution and continue with ongoing education on ending sexual harassment.
