Workplace bullying can silently overwhelm your life. Do you drive to work with thoughts of the bully, that tense feeling in your stomach, headaches, self doubt and your anxiety? When you are on holidays how often do you think of work and the bullying?
In many cases it is a slow process that escalates over time if nothing is done. The damage and trauma to the victims, the co-workers and the business are all the costs of workplace bullying.
I was interviewed by Stephanie Erickson from thismatters2me Media, and provided my experiences and awareness on workplace bullying. Sometimes people may not recognize what is happening until the violence is defined as workplace bullying. For me it took 15 years before I realized this behaviour was bullying. It had become normalized. Ask yourself, how do you feel at work?
