You have certainly demonstrated courage and determination through your struggles in dealing with the RCMP. When I started reading your book, Women Not Wanted, I had a hard time putting it down and when I did, I could hardly wait to return to its pages. I was drawn into your world of fear and uncertainty, finding myself wanting to be there with you to protect you. I got angry, frustrated and the sense of being helpless overwhelmed me. Your struggles conjured up memories of times in my life where I experienced ‘power over’ or dominance instead of ‘power with’ or empowerment. Thank you for writing this story – both men and women would be enlightened by reading about your experiences.
